2014 wedding Season | Alberta & Destination Wedding Photographer

As I am in the middle of my wedding season 2015, patiently waiting for my computer to catch up.................I had some time to reflect on the year thus far and past years. Weddings all over Alberta and Destination wedding in Mexico, Dominican and Costa Rica, what an amazing ride it has been. Each year is filled with new faces, new love and new stories, each unique and romantic in there own way. From time to time even old faces, bridesmaids from past weddings that I now get the pleasure of capturing, which just makes it even more special.

Each year fills my heart and soul, how could it not so much love, smiles and laughter and the best part...........I get the honor of capturing it all for years to come. My Brides and Grooms hold a special spot in my heart, I treasure their love stories forever feeling like they are a part of my own family. I recently listened to a speaker talk about community with our clients and how truly understanding someones story is what makes our art that much more meaningful.
This is one of my biggest goals at a consult and the time leading up to a wedding. I want to know you, your soulmate, your connection together,  your family and what you hold dear. Everyone has their own fairy tale and it is those details that I look for and the way my clients open up that allow me to bring it to life.

I could document a wedding day, be the hired photographer that everyone looks sideways at, constantly looking for that in, just getting what I need. The wedding day would still be there for all to see, documented and archived in all it's beauty.
YA RIGHT..............I prefer smiles, laughter, hugs and tears. Having a bride that trust's me like one of her bridesmaids and light's up to see me, a mother who doesn't hold back her emotions and leans on me behind doorways as she gives her child away, a groom that looks to me for solid ground as he awaits the best moment of his life. A bride and groom that show all their love for the world to see. A fairy tale unfolding before your very eyes!

That's where you'll find me!

Don't get me wrong I have done the other, it has happened and it makes me sad. "You can't win them all", attitude doesn't work me. For me I did something wrong along the way and forever will analyze it (driving my husband insane).
Ever want to know how much I hold each and every client dear......ask my husband he knows their whole life stories as I can't help but talk about all their joy.

Thank you to all my past and present brides and grooms, it is you who makes my season worth it and it is you who reminds me daily what love and life is all about!

Here's a tribute to the AJ Brides and Grooms of 2014, pssst this is long but they all deserve it. Happy 1st Anniversary to you and thank you for letting me be a part of it all.

J&B Rehman Wedding | Edmonton Wedding Photographer

Let me just say I love these to. I always grow to love all my clients but over the years of getting to know these 2 each day and moment I grew a new appreciation for them both. I have worked with Jenelle I believe 6 years and over the years I really have come to call her my friend and appreciate all that she is and does. I have gotten to know a lot of her family and some friends, you are who you surround yourself with, and this is one truly amazing group of people. Brendan is perfect for her calm quiet, with a warm heart and quick with his sutdle remarks cause we all know Jenelle is anything but quiet lol. Jenelle is super outgoing and would lend a hand to anyone, when she set's her mind to something she goes full board. Brendan with his strong nature is right there to support her through it all. I was supper excited for this wedding and seeing all the little tid bits they were preparing just added to my anticipation. Well the day came and it was nothing short of magical every detail planned out and made to perfection showcasing all these 2 are about, right down to the duck calls for them to kiss. At one point Momma Bear turned to me and said is this country enough or what, yes yes it is and Momma Bear I love your thumbs up after the ceremony truly fitting. It is amazing what happens when everyone comes together and with amazing friends and family there was no shortage of love and smiles through out the day. Probably one of the few weddings where every guest was on the dance floor all night. Jenelle you looked magnificent and glowed all day and Brendan your smile was contagious. Surrounded by all that love you both the warmth was overflowing. I wish you both all the best on this new chapter of your journey together, I know together you will do great things. Thank you for having me be a part of your amazing day!

C&S Snelgrove Wedding | Edmonton Wedding Photographer

I was so happy and honored to be a part of this wedding. I have known Chelsea since grade school and couldn't be more happy to see her find her soul-mate, Scott is so genuine and warm hearted a perfect match. These two make me smile as soon as I am around them, both so easy going only concerned about being happy and content in life. The wedding was simple, small but so beautiful. With standing guests that formed a tight circle around the two of them as they exchanged their vows and said I do, it was one of the most intimate ceremonies I have ever experienced. I loved how they included their children in the signing of the marriage certificate as they brought these two families together. Chelsea you radiated and were glowing more then I have ever seen it doesn't take long for anyone to see the love you both share is magical and pure. The reception was held in their very own backyard and complemented the intimate feel so well and was a true reflection of them. BBQ and home cooking by a friend that looked like the highest end catering was just one of the wonderful things that set the seen for this amazing backyard reception. All the time and efforts put in to every detail was personal, elegant and stunning. As the light set to dim a live band and glowing lights would fill the backyard setting the scene for an amazing night ahead sure to be full of laughter and memories all around. Thank you so much Chelsea and Scott for allowing me to be a part of this, I wish you both the best in this new chapter of life.
