Almost 16, Rachelle wanted to do something for her daughter to capture the essence of this part of her life. We talked back and forth ideas but the biggest one was her daughters love for the hunger games and it just so happened she loves archery. She also wanted a bit of glam and beauty to represent all aspects so keeping in the theme the red dress was born. We had so much fun and I hope this is something she can truly look back on as a reflection of this time in her life. It is always amazing how these types of photo sessions create a new sense of confidence and a precious keepsakes.

I had a craving to shoot something soft, summery and classic. I truly love the sun in the late afternoon it is so refreshing and almost mystical. This is a great example of how shooting late in the day is almost a better choice, the lighting just adds so much. Kendal is a true beauty and so much fun to work with, she loves the camera and it loves her. I really love how the Marilyn feel that came out with Kendal in the white dress (my favorite icon:) lol). That dress is my mothers from when she was in her early 20's.
