All I can say is welcome to Alberta! All excited we set out to Gregg Lake just past Hinton for a fall engagement session. 15 min from our destination we see a little snow.....another km more snow.......almost there and it's a foot deep! Although we were a little sad it sure was pretty and we would make the best of it.
Robert and Carina graciously had us stay at their family cabin and well the idea of a little cabin in snow covered woods just makes my heart sing! We had a blast and appreciated all their hospitality!
Saturday we set out for the locations they had in mind, low and behold back roads were closed due to all the snow and with each hike to the spots we took we had to watch for heavy falling snow. It made for many smiles and laughs. Now trying to find another beautiful location we headed to Jasper were the beauty is endless. 10 min into the drive and where did all the snow go? This even now makes me giggle 10 min one way snow, 10 min the other no snow. We found our spots and started unloading as mother nature decided she wasn't done with us yet. 60-80 km winds out of no where!
Needless to say this was an interesting day and I have a new appreciation for these two and their dedication. They pushed though the deep snow, the wicked cold and fought the wind through every pose!
You both are so amazingly cute and if my "Just one more" wasn't any indication your love is beautiful to capture. I can not wait to photograph your wedding day and thankfully it will be a tad warmer!
The cabin means a lot to them both and Carina really wanted photos by the fire, after the day we had it just couldn't be more fitting to cozy up fireside with a glass of wine!
