I have always wanted to go to Jamaica so it goes without saying I was ecstatic when Shakera and Jeremy asked me to photograph their wedding. Knowing the love and true heart these two share just added the seal to the deal!
Shakera is from Jamaica originally and decided to choose a beautiful unique location to hold their amazing day. When we went to look at Laughing Waters my mind was blown, it is truly breathtaking and instantly I knew I would never have enough time to capture all it's beauty :( . Hopefully I was able to do it just a little justice.
The day started out full of laughter, Shakera was radiant and her gorgeous smile was even more show stopping. So much to take in and the "Jamaica vibe" was in all of us, truly love the spirit of this place and it's people nothing short of intoxicating. Not one detail was left undone, from the beautiful robes Shakera had awaiting her bridesmaids to the wicked beer mugs and red stripe Jeremy had awaiting the groomsmen.
Nothing ever goes exactly as planned, with a first look needing to be moved inside due to some rain and a few delays, but nothing was going to alter the love high these two were on. One look at Jeremy and you could not deny the love he feels for Shakera! I had to keep asking him to look at me but that only lasted for moments before his eyes fell right back to his beautiful bride. The day came together even better and more amazing then I could have ever anticipated, a huge part of that goes out to the lady behind the scenes their wedding coordinator Julie.
"One love" there is no better way to describe this beautiful day, from the laughter to the smiles, there was a unity between complete strangers that was undescribable. Everyone came together and showed their love and boundless support for Shakera and Jeremy! This energy carried on right through the evening as everyone "Everyone" danced the night away.
The day would not have been complete with out a little bit of Canada in Jamaica. One of their favourites, Shakera and Jeremy had a s'mores bar set out for the guests. Everyone from Jamaica thought this was the best thing ever, nothing better then a some s'mores to bring out the kid in anyone.
Thank you so much for having me be a part of this magical and unforgettable day. I have such great love for you both and wish you endless love and laughter on your journey together!
